The Tampa Bay Lightning have 14 games left in the regular season and four of them are take place in six days! The Bolts play the Toronto Maple Leafs in Toronto on Tuesday 3/10. They return to the friendly confines of Amalie Arena to battle the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday 3/12 and then play the Detroit Red Wings at home on Saturday 3/14 and the very next evening host the New Jersey Devils on Sunday 3/15.

The Lightning are going to the playoffs and these last few games will decide what position they finish in. It’s looking like they will finish in second place in the Atlantic Division (behind the Boston Bruins) and I’m ok with that. After setting all kinds of regular season records last season and then getting the ever-living-crap kicked out of us by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the first round, I’m ready for the team to go into the playoffs a little pissed off and hungry.

Hopefully team captain Steven Stamkos will be back (at least for round two) but this team is deep and can overcome anything. I think the Bolts will be playing for Lord Stanley’s Cup in a couple months! Go Lightning!
